The "V" in V- Dosc refers to the V-shaped acoustic lens configuration employed for the mid and high frequency sections. The " Dosc" stands for " Diffuser d' Onde Sonore Cylindrique "- in English this means Cylindrical Wave Generator. To summarize the benefits of V-DOSC : •The available sound pressure level is extremely high with respect to the physical dimensions of the system. •The coverage area is strictly defined and fully predictable. • The system has an unusually high level of linearity in both the vertical and horizontal coverage axes because of the Cylindrical Wavefront and the Coplanar Symmetry concepts. •The coverage area is much larger than that which is provided by traditional systems, because of a much lower attenuation of . SPL versus distance. •The sound quality is unusually clean for any system. Because of the 90 degree horizontal pattern and its ability to project that pattern, the stereo imaging is startling and well-defined throughout a large portion of the audience (not just in the center of the house).
